Coat Types

The Border comes with two Coatlenghts. Short and Long.  Shorthair is always dominant and Longhair reccessive.

Btw. As Example the genes for this hairs are:

Longhaired ll and Shorthair SS

The Mother have SS and the Father ll.

The babys have alway shorthaire (Sl)

when this pup have a litter with a Lonngharied Dog, than can the puppies have long and/or shorthair

Sl+ll = Sl/ll
